Where did Summer go?

Is it really almost September?  The summer seemed so short to me.  Since the seasons will soon be turning it is time to prepare for the Fall craft fairs.  M.D. Designs will be participating in three area craft fairs this season.  We will kick off our season at Peters Creek Church of the Brethren on Oct. 19.  That show runs from 8:00 am till 2:00 pm.  Our next show will be at the Brambleton Center on Nov. 2, from 8:00 am till 2:00 pm.  We will end our season at Campbell Memorial Presbyterian Church on Nov. 16, from 9:00 am till 3:00 pm.  We certainly hope to see a lot of our friends at these shows.  We will have some of our old favorites, as well as, some new seasonal items.  Come get your Holiday shopping done with us.  Here's the schedule in a nutshell:

Oct. 19-  Peters Creek Church of the Brethren- 8:00-2:00

Nov. 2- Brambleton Center- 8:00-2:00

Nov. 16- Campbell Memorial Presbyterian Church- 9:00-3:00

I'm off to enjoy this beautiful day.  Stay tuned for some sneak peeks of our craft show items.

Friends are Tresures

Have you ever had a dear friend who was feeling under the weather and you just wanted to do something to show them you care?  Today's feature would make a great little gift for just that.  What says "I care and I'm thinking of you" better than a thoughtful card, tea, and hankies?  This set has it covered.  This great gift set was created by Laura and sells for $8.00.  Here are some more pictures.

This gift comes complete- all ready for giving.  All you need to do is sign the card!  How much easier could that be?  Let me know if you're interested.

Off to enjoy this beautiful day.

Sunny Monday

Happy sunny Monday to you all.  We are finally having some beautiful weather.  What better way is there to celebrate than with an Array of Sunshine?  That's the name of the stamp set that was used to create this lovely card set.  This set of all occasion cards was created by Riley.  I love the colors that she chose to use on this set.  Here are some more pictures.

The set includes 8 cards, two of each design.  It sells for $20.00.  It's always great to have some cards on hand when you need a card in a hurry.  Let me know if you're interested.

Now, I'm off to enjoy this beautiful weather.  Hope you enjoy it, too.

Leave a Message

I know you've all had times when you've needed to leave someone a message or reminder.  Well, M.D. Designs has a cute way of doing just that.  Forget about a message scribbled on an old envelope or scrap of paper.  Now you can create a message board in your home.  They are great for leaving reminders to kids and husbands, as well as, messages about your whereabouts.  These cute message frames were created by my most beautiful daughter, Riley.  Here are some more pictures.

Each frame sells for $5.00 and comes with its own dry erase marker.  We hope you like them.  Let me know if you're interested.  Oh, and by the way, they make great gifts, too.

Lots to do today, so bye for now.

Write It Down!

If you're like me, you have to make little notes to yourself in order to remember what you need to do.  Today I have a cute way of jotting down those notes to yourself or to others.  These are altered acrylic frames.  They each have a Post-It note pad attached and come with a matching pen and small binder clip.  Here are photos of each one.

Did you notice that some of these match the altered Jr. Legal pads that I showed you earlier this week?  These are perfect for an office desk or at home beside the phone.  They make great gifts and sell for $6.00 each.  Let me know if you're interested.

It's a beautiful morning here.  The sun is shining and the birds are flittering all around our yard.  I especially enjoy watching the hummingbirds.  They are amazing little creatures.  It's going to be a great day.  I'll enjoy my walk this morning in the sunshine (need that Vitamin D) and then I'm going with Riley for a much needed pedicure.  I hope you enjoy your day, as well.

Coffee? Yes, Please!

What could be better than coffee in the morning?  Coffee in a cute cup, that's what.  When I was teaching I never left home without a travel cup of coffee with me.  At the time I didn't have a cute cup.  It was more about what was in the cup.  I do think I would have enjoyed my coffee a little more if I had had a cute cup like these.  They each come in their own carrier with a gift tag which makes them perfect for gift giving.  Here are some pictures of them outside their carriers.

And here's a side view of one of them.

These sell for $6.00 each and include coffee, tea, or hot chocolate mix.  A really cute gift all wrapped up and ready to give.  Or, give one to yourself.  You deserve it.  Let me know if you're interested.

As I've already had my coffee this morning, I'm off to get some exercise.

It's Back-to-School Time

Good Tuesday morning to you all.  Yesterday marked the first day of school in Roanoke City and the first day back for teachers in Roanoke County.  As a retired teacher I know how much it helps to start a new year with cute new "stuff".  So today I'm featuring some really cute altered Jr. Legal pads.  They each come with a matching pen and two clips-an XL paper clip and a small binder clip (at the top of each pad).  These sets sell for $5.00 and would brighten anyone's desk.  Two of the sets are masculine and two are more girlie.  Here are more pictures.

As always, let me know if you're interested.

Today I get to babysit!!!  Yippee!  I just can't wait for Sydney to arrive.  I hope you all have a super day, too.

Till tomorrow,

Rain, Rain, Go Away

Happy Monday!  I trust everyone had a great weekend.  It was mostly rainy here over the weekend and again this morning.  I'm hoping for some sunshine this afternoon.  Today I want to share with you another Thank You card set that I made.

There are eight cards in this set, each one a different color scheme.  They would make a nice Thank You to send for any occasion.  The set sells for $20.00.  Let me know if you're interested.

I really need to go out and run some errands this morning, but I don't want to take my car out while it is still wet.  My husband spent his whole Saturday washing and waxing my car.  I would hate to take it out and get it dirty.  So, I'll take my walk and try to get some things done around the house this morning and hope that the sun will return in time this afternoon for me to get those errands done.  I might even get some stamping done : )

What do you do on a rainy day?

As promised it is raining here this afternoon.  I'm OK with that.  It gives me time to play in my stamp room.  I have some new Stampin' Up sets that I haven't played with yet so I pulled them out and had some fun.  Here's one of the cards I made.

This card uses the By the Tide stamp set and two of the new In Colors- Coastal Cabana and Baked Brown Sugar.  I used the Freshly Made Sketch 99 for the layout.  Hope you like it.  I do!

Off to play some more,
Mary

Oops!

I fully intended on posting yesterday, but my day got in the way.  I had some housework to do and I wanted to go shopping.  I just recently lost 22 pounds (wohoo!).  We are leaving for the beach soon and I didn't have enough clothes that fit me to pack.  Too bad, right?  So, after I finished my housework I took off to shop.  I hit the clearance sales and came home with 4 shirts and 2 pair of shorts.  I also couldn't resist getting something for Sydney.  I can't wait to see her in her bikini on the beach.  She will truly be a beach babe!

Today I'm featuring journals.  Can you resist a pretty journal with a matching pen?  If you're like me, you can't.  Each journal is unique and sells for $6.00.  Here are close ups of each one.

Let me know if you are interested in buying one or two.

Until tomorrow (hopefully),
Mary

So Truly Thankful

I am so truly thankful to the lord above for the wonderful life I have.  I'm also thankful for completing this post.  I'm having issues with my computer.  It is running soooooooooooo slow!  I've done everything I know to fix the problem.  I think I will have to get my son-in-law over here to diagnose and fix it for me.  I do fine with computers as long as they cooperate, but I'm not very savvy when they don't.

The picture above shows some Thank You cards that I made. I used the Blooming with Kindness set and the Print Poetry designer paper from Stampin' Up.  I added a fancy border to each piece of designer paper and then the matted image.  This set includes 8 cards, two of each design and sells for $20.00.  Here are some close ups of the 4 designs.

Let me know if you're interested in buying this set. It would be perfect for just about any occasion in which you need to send a Thank You note.  The inside of each card is blank so you have plenty of room to write your own message.

I'll be back tomorrow (computer willing) with another project.  For now, I'm off to clean house and then spend time with my precious Sydney.

I'll leave you today with a special message for Robin.  We're praying for you and wish you a day with less pain.  Love you bunches!!!

Till tomorrow,
Mary

Happy Hump Day

Ah!!!  The weather is so refreshing this morning.  Sunny and warm, less humid with a nice breeze.  I'm looking forward to my morning walk, but first I have some cute bookmarks to show you.

Here are all four of them.  The first one is an ordinary bookmark, except it is way cuter than any you can buy elsewhere.  Here's a close up.

Isn't that pinwheel so cute?  The other owl bookmark is magnetic and slides over the top of the page.  The magnet keeps it from sliding out.  Here's the close ups.

I included a side view so you can see how it works.  The last two are corner bookmarks.  They slide over the corner of the page.  I love the punched and embossed edges on these.

I enjoy a good book and having a cute bookmark adds to the fun.  These sell for $2.00 each.  Let me know if you're interested.  They would make a nice little gift tucked inside a book.

I'm off now for my walk, then housework, and then my sweet Sydney is coming over.  Can't wait to spend time with her.

Till tomorrow,
Mary
